This year the Sqn is again looking forward to our annual ski day at Mt St Louis Moonstoone. The Sponsoring Committee is prepared to help us defer your cost IF.
The IF is if we can get a minimum of 30 people signed up and paid by 02 Feb 2012. The bonus is that if we do meet the challenge then the Sponsoring Committee will kick in $20 per person to help pay for your lift ticket/rental and they will also on the day of give you $10 to help you buy your lunch. If we do not get the thirty people signed up and paid then unfortunately we will not be skiing this year.
The actual day we are planning on going skiing is 25 Feb.

If cadets are going to be late or need to be picked up early from an optional activity they need to advise the Officer in Charge so that arrangements to access the building are made accordingly.
If there are questions or concerns please contact the CO
The staff is currently sorting and prioritizing the applications that we have received.
National Camp Applications are due in to Trenton for 10 Jan. If you are applying please have your application with narratives and prior camp course reports turned into Capt Cadenhead.
Cadets again have been issued a book of tickets for the League lottery. These books of tickets are a major source of the Air Cadet Leagues fund raising for the year. Please sell and return your tickets as soon as possible. The funding raised through the tickets that you sell comes back directly into both the League activities and also our local Squadron funding for the year to help pay for your activities.
Fair warning: Please return your sold lottery ticket books as we will soon be posting a list of those that owe their sold books.
If you require uniform from supply or to speak with a member of our Admin team please have your team commander get you to the appropriate office during the parade night. After closing parade is not the time to approach staff for exchanges or requests when they have or are in the process of locking up for the night.
Parents if you are looking to speak with a member of our team please come a little early for closing parade and we would be happy to assist.
Both Admin and Supply are typically also open on Wed nights from 19:00 to 21:00 at MTC when activities are scheduled.
During the first few weeks while we have been at MTC it has been observed that some non cadets are wondering to areas that are not open to us. While we pass through the cafeteria area we are not to linger in that area and definitely not to partake in the food and drinks that are out for sale to MTC employees. Parents and siblings that are waiting for cadets must remain in our section of the building that cadets are in or remain outside of the building.
Parents that are arriving to pick up cadets should not plan on arriving prior to 21:00 (9pm) for closing parade announcements.
As we approach the winter season, please use the sidewalks at MTC and not cut across the grass.

A reminder to all cadets using the new MTC facility. The Employee Lunch Room is Out of Bounds to ALL CADETS. When entering MTC please go directly to the cadet facility.
We appreciate every cadet's cooperation in keeping our facilities clean and in order whether at MTC or Donald A Wilson HS. It is EVERY cadets responsibility to clean up after themselves Remember that we develop good, community minded citizens. Thank you adult monitors!
The staff appreciates cadets being picked up on time at the conclusion of activities as staff must stay until the last cadet is picked up.
