Squadron Warrant Officer Terms of Reference

  1. Assist in the implementation of the Squadron Training Program;
  2. Enforce all rules and policies outlined in these Standing Orders;
  3. Ensure all cadets of the Squadron maintain a high standard of dress and deportment;
  4. Bring forth concerns and suggestions of fellow cadets to appropriate staff members;
  5. Keep all cadets of the Squadron informed of all events through appropriate Flight Commanders;
  6. Maintain a high standard of drill at all times; and
  7. Carry out all other duties assigned to him/her by the Commanding Officer or the Deputy Commanding Officer.

Deputy Squadron Warrant Officer Terms of Reference

  1. Assist the Squadron Warrant Officer with carrying out his/her duties;
  2. Carry out all duties of the Squadron Warrant Officer in his/her absence;
  3. Make recommendations for promotions and awards and submit substantiation to the Squadron Warrant Officer; and
  4. Carry out all other assigned duties assigned by the Squadron Warrant Officer.

Administration On-the-Job Training

Warrant Officer

  1. Collect weekly phone logs from Team & Flight Commanders
  2. Collect attendance to submit to the AdminO
  3. Delegate duties for calling AWOL cadets
  4. Delegate maintenance of squadron attendance records
  5. Collect attendance records for weekly activities to submit for Snowbird Point records
  6. Create lists of any cadets with supply needs to submit to the SupO
  7. Carry out all other duties assigned by the Squadron Commander

Administration (Orderly) NCOs

  1. Call AWOL Cadets
  2. File/organize weekly calling logs submitted by Team & Flight Commanders
  3. Maintain squadron attendance records
  4. Update Snowbird Point/liaise with Snowbird Point Officer to update list on a weekly basis
  5. Carry out all other duties assigned by AdminWO

Training On-the-Job Training

Warrant Officer

  1. Actively work with the Training Officer and Level Officers to ensure effective operation of the Training Program
  2. Be in possession of the Training Schedule at all times and ensure it is adhered to
  3. Collect all lesson plans on due dates as outlined by the Training Officer
  4. Ensure that important information related to training is posted weekly (on a Squadron Bulletin Board, WROs, upcoming evaluations, etc.)
  5. Be liaison between the Training Officer and all instructors
  6. Conduct formal and informal evaluations of instructions
  7. Mentor cadet instructors
  8. Keep Training Officer informed of any concerns regarding the conduct of the training program
  9. Carry out all other duties as assigned by the Training Officer and Squadron Warrant Officer

Training NCOs

  1. Ensure training night runs on schedule by monitoring classes and giving 5-minute warnings
  2. Ensure copies of lesson plans are maintained in a binder for any NCO to reference, in the event that an instructor is missing and the class needs to be picked up
  3. Update the Training bulletin board by posting the Weekly Routine Orders and any upcoming important nights (evaluations, sports nights, etc.)
  4. Carry out all other tasks as assigned by the Training WO
